The Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce offers a platform to facilitate interaction between voters and candidates. The meet and greet will take place over three days. The GVCC will host separate events designed to put voters in front of their potential representatives from their respective areas.
With municipal elections taking place this year, candidates are eager to get out and meet the people whose votes they seek. Likewise, the communities wish to put the faces to the names they see on campaign posters.
This election cycle has brought out many new candidates running for office. This event provides an opportunity for communities to learn about their candidates’ stances on key issues and offers people a chance to meet those seeking to represent their communities.
Additionally, this allows them the opportunity to determine who will be the best choice for them in the next election.
Face-to-face interaction is the end goal, bridging the divide between potential representatives and those who will vote for them.
Every event will begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m., regardless of time zones.
Valley will host their event on July 7 at the Valley Community Center located at 130 Sportsplex Dr.
Lanett’s event will be held on July 8 in the Lanett High School gym.
LaFayette’s meet and greet will take place in the Alfa building located at 1006 Ave. A SE.
Candidates will be easily identified, as they will be allowed to decorate their stations with campaign materials and signs.
