Residents are asked to take part in envisioning the future of Lafayette.
City leaders invite residents to attend monthly meetings scheduled to discuss LaFayette’s new comprehensive plan, with the next meeting set for July 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the Alfa Insurance Building located at 1006 Ave. A SE.
Residents are also asked to complete a community survey at www.lafayetteplan.com, which will be used to guide the comprehensive plan process.
“The comprehensive plan process is a collaborative, community-driven effort designed to chart a clear and inspiring vision for the city’s future,” LaFayette Main Street said in a Facebook post. “This process serves as a long-term ‘road map’ that guides growth, development and policy decisions for the next 20 years, ensuring LaFayette remains a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable place to live, work and visit. This is your chance to learn about the planning process, help identify the ‘big things’ that the comprehensive plan must get right, share your thoughts regarding community values and talk with members of the [plan’s] steering committee. All input is important and valued.”
