Patricia Elizabeth Tyler McCullough, age 95, of Lanett, AL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 28, at her home. Born on April 14, 1930, in Enterprise, Florida, Pat lived a long and full life marked by devotion to her loved ones and steadfast faith.

Pat dedicated her life to her family and to serving the Church as a pastor’s wife for over 50 years, including 35 years in the Valley area. She was the heart of her family and a pillar of support to her husband, the late Rev. Jim McCullough, in his ministry. Her children and grandchildren remember her as loving, graceful and poised, and unfailingly kind—never speaking an unkind word against anyone.

A woman of deep faith, Ms. Pat cherished her Bible and found joy in studying the Scriptures. She lived each day with devotion to her Savior, a commitment that guided her until the very end of her life. Ms. Pat’s devotion to her faith and family has impacted many, but none more than her own family. With six pastors among her children and grandchildren, and all of her family serving faithfully in their own local churches, her greatest legacy is a legacy of faith. Her deep prayer life paved the way for this enduring legacy, shaping generations to come.

She is survived by her sons: Mark (Amy) McCullough of Frisco City, AL; Kelly (Teresa) McCullough of Lanett, AL; and Steve (Tammy) McCullough of Lanett, AL. Ms. Pat was a beloved grandmother to 10 grandchildren: Beth (Scott) Slayton of Monroeville, AL; Matt (Lindsey) McCullough of Nashville, TN; Tyler (Bobbi) McCullough of Brentwood, TN; Drew McCullough of Frisco City, AL; Julie (Daniel) Evans of Greenville, SC; Troy (Lauren) McCullough of Jacksonville, FL; Abby (Mike) Hinds of Landrum, SC; Tatum (Michael) Fagan of Auburn, AL; Clay (Caitlin) McCullough of Troy, AL; and Trevor (Melissa) McCullough of Perry, GA. She also leaves behind 19 great-grandchildren, with two more expected this summer.

Ms. Pat is reunited in death with her beloved husband, Rev. Jim McCullough.

Her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in all who knew her.
