Tractor Supply of Lanett donated $3000 worth of dog food to the Chattahoochee Humane Society on June 30.

Posts from their social media page thanked the local Tractor Supply for their generous donation, keeping the pups with full bellies. According to the Facebook post, these types of donations allow the shelter to :

4redirect funds to urgent medical care, spay/neuters and transport.

Email newsletter signup

4support recovering dogs in foster care or those waiting for their forever homes.

4provide stability for new intakes who often arrive hungry or malnourished.

The ability to improve the lives of these animals through generosity is no small task. The Chattahoochee Humane Society encourages citizens to donate, volunteer and adopt so that the animals can transition to loving homes.

Since early June, the Humane Society has been overcrowded with animals since a recent influx has put them over capacity. Earlier reporting by the Valley Times News noted that the facility has 70 animals, with more coming in each day.
