Photo of abandoned truck may be linked to Givorns break-in

A possible break took has taken place in the recent crash and grab theft at Givorns in Valley.
A photo of an abandoned truck spotted recently along I-285 near Atlanta was submitted to law enforcement last week. Officers went to investigate, but by the time they got there it was gone.
The photo that was taken shows a white truck that looks very much like the one in the surveillance tape that was recorded inside Givorns when the 3 a.m. theft was taking place.
The truck that crashed into Givorns has been identified as a 1999 Dodge Ram. It received some very significant external damage when it slammed into the building.
The tag number on the truck is from a vehicle that had been stolen in Covington, Ga., not far from Atlanta.
If the photo that’s turned up is that vehicle, it suggets that whoever stole the truck was from the metro Atlanta area and went back there after the break-in and theft.
It’s not a whole lot to go on, but it is a lead.
At 3:02 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, the Dodge truck backed into the front glass foyer at Givorns, then pulled out, turned around and went back front first into the foyer area.
Two suspects removed an ATM machine from the store during the break in. The store sustained some considerable damage in the incident.
