Mr. David (Bim) Sides, 63, of Valley, Ala. died Monday December 4, 2017 at his residence.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Sides was born February 2, 1954 in Oceanside, Cal. to David L. Sides Sr., and the late Mary Helen Sides.

He had lived most of his life in Valley,. He had been employed at the WestPoint Pepperell Service Center, and later worked at McKay Heating & Air. He then worked in construction until his retirement.

Mr. Sides loved to hunt and fish and was a huge Alabama football fan. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Royster Sides of Valley; three children: Michael (Windy) Sides of Valley, Kelli (Marty) Adams of Valley, and Charlotte (Samuel) Chambers of Valley; his father, David L. Sides Sr. of Valley; two sisters, Kathy (Bruce) Maynard of Valley and Becky (John) Looser of Fredonia, Ala., nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
