Sheriff’s Office reports

LaFAYETTE — Seven people were arrested by the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office over the weekend. According to reports.

Rory Buchanan, 32, of Lanett has been charged with four counts of failure to appear (FTA) in court to answer charges of burglary, third degree, and theft of property, first, second and third degree;

Octavious McCoy, 23, of West Point has been charged with three counts of FTA – distribution of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal possession of marijuana, first degree;

Spencer R. Hood, 27, of Lanett has been charged with FTA – child support;

Jonquerious V. Woody. 31, of Lanett has been charged with FTA – child support;

Carshenna Heard, 30, of LaFayette has been charged with FTA – child support;

Travis D. Smith, 33, of Lanett has been charged with FTA – three counts of child support;

Curtis Ray Giddens, 29, of Livingston, La. has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

On Christmas Day there were 142 inmates in the Chambers County Jail.

Lanett reports

LANETT — Four people were arrested over the Christmas holiday weekend in Lanett. According to reports,

Cealie Huguley, 56, of Lanett has been charged with driving under the influence (DUI) – alcohol;

Rory Buchanan, 32, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping;

Phillip Renfro, 35, of Lanett has been charged with FTA – traffic;

Dieondre Hutchinson, 19, of Lanett has been charged with domestic violence, third degree.

In incidents reported to Lanett police, domestic violence, third has been reported in the 900 block of South Jennings Avenue and harassment has been reported on the 200 block of North 15th Street.

Valley reports

VALLEY — Seven people were arrested in Valley over the Christmas holiday weekend. According to police reports,

Rakim Cooper, 28, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;

Lavell Magby, 24, of LaFayette has been charged with theft of property, third degree;

Travis Dwight Smith, 33, of Lanett has been charged with theft of property, third degree;

Phillip Thomas Renfro, 35, of Lanett has been charged with FTA – traffic;

Joyce Renee Sasser, 52, of Valley has been charged with domestic violence, physical harassment, and domestic violence, third degree – criminal mischief;

Shanmekia Mechelle Huguley, 31, of LaFayette has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;

Kristen Short, 28, of Valley has been charged with contempt of court;

In incidents being investigated by Valley officers, theft of property, fourth degree, has been reported on the 3000 block of 23rd Drive; domestic violence, third degree, has been reported  on the 300 block of Crystal Springs Road; theft of property, fourth degree, has been reported on the 3500 block of 20th Avenue; theft by deception, third degree, has been reported on the 3000 block of Center Street; a domestic incident has been reported on the 800 block of Combs Street, and the unlawful breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and theft of property, second degree, reported on the 2000 block of 29th Boulevard.

West Point reports

WEST POINT — Jeffery Lashone Ferrell of West Point was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.

In incidents reported to West Point police officers over the Christmas holiday weekend, theft was reported on Abbey Glen Lane, an assault reported on West 15th Street and two separate incidents of criminal trespass reported on East 10th Street.
