LaFAYETTE — A West Point man is facing multiple charges in Chambers County after being arrested by deputies on Tuesday.

William R. Massey has been charged with kidnapping, second degree; receiving stolen property, third degree; attempting to elude, reckless driving, reckless endangerment and failure to appear in court (FTA) to answer a charge of possession of marijuana, second degree.

There are 145 inmates in the Chambers County jail.

Lanett reports

LANETT — Four people were arrested in Lanett on Tuesday. According to Lanett Police Department reports:

Orlando Demetris Jennings, 21, of Valley has been charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

John Allen McPherson, 46, of Lanett has been charged with FTA – traffic.

Lashautine Batrice Thomas, 23, of LaFayette has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree.

Daniel James May, 37, of Auburn has been charged with possession of a controlled substance,

Lanett police are investigating an incident of domestic violence, third, that reportedly took place on the 4000 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway and assault, third, and criminal mischief,  fourth, that allegedly took place on the 400 block of North Lanier Avenue.

WEST POINT — An incident involving theft of property was reported on Avenue M on Tuesday.

Valley reports

VALLEY — Two people were arrested Tuesday in Valley.

Markedrick Antavius Floyd, 34, of Valley has been charged with harassment.

Daniel James May, 37, of Auburn was arrested on an FTA warrant.

Valley officers are investigating incidents involving theft of property, third degree, which reportedly took place on the 2400 block of 31st Street; theft of property, second degree, on the 3600 block of 24th Avenue, and theft of property, third degree, on the 300 block of Fob James Drive.
