MR. JAMES EDWARD CLARK

VALLEY — Mr. James Edward Clark, 73, of Valley, Ala. passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on July 13, 1944 in Huntsville, Ala. to the late James Odell and Martha H. Clark.

Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Lanita Clark; his son, Brad (Crissy) Clark; his five grandchildren, Cole Clark, Courtney Clark, Bruce Cotney, Sunshine Cotney, and Adrian Monroe; his brother, Jewiel (Sherry) Clark; his niece, Lynn Clark; and his nephew, Brian Clark.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Clark, and two brothers, Charles Clark and Jimmy Wade Clark.

Mr. Clark was a member of The Upper Room Church in Valley. He served seven years in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was an avid Auburn fan who enjoyed serving others, going to the lake, playing checkers, and feeding squirrels french fries.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January, 11, 2018 at 11 a.m. EST at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with Pastor Bogey Cotney officiating.  Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Lanett. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. EST at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
