OPELIKA, Ala. — Mr. Lamar Lindsey 61, of Opelika, Ala. passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017. He was born on March 1, 1956, in Langdale, Ala. He loved fishing, hunting and playing golf. He worked for Central Removal and Restoration, in Opelika, for 20 years.

Mr. Lindsey was preceded in death by his stepfather and mother: N.C. “Red” Messer and Mary Catherine Messer. He is survived by his brother, Jim (Linda) Lindsey; sister, Debbie (Larry) Keeble; aunt, Mavis Cotney; niece, Paige Hiett; nephews: Brad (Sheena) Lindsey, Jonathan Keeble and Matthew Keeble; a close friend, Neil Odom; four great-nieces and nephews; and six stepbrothers and sisters.

A memorial service for Mr. Lindsey will be held at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home, Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 2 p.m. CST. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. Reverend Loren Sutton will be officiating.
