WEST POINT — It’s time again for the Ms. Southwest Georgia Senior Pageant.

The event will be held Saturday, March 17 at the New Horizon Theatre, 411 W. 8th St., West Point.

Registration is $65 for any woman age 60 years old or older. Deadline to register is Feb. 10.

“We’d like people to apply as soon as possible,” said Frances Reeves, president of the Southwest Georgia Classic Club that runs the event.

Pageant contestants will be judged in evening gown, talent, interview and on-stage questions and statement of principle.

Other activities include: a rehearsal and queen’s dinner the day before on March 16 and a luncheon the day of.

The purpose of the pageant is to promote positive, healthy aging; to gain senior role models in society; to teach others aging can be fun; to share wisdom and life experiences; to serve our community and to show age does not slow people down.
