SISTERS WITH A PURPOSE of West End Baptist Church held a Valentines Party for members and their spouses or significant others in the church family life center for their February meeting. The tables were beautifully decorated for Valentines Day with pink, red, and white tablecloths and valentine centerpieces. The focal point of the room was a Valentine balloon arch for pictures of the couples.
Each member brought finger foods and the tables were covered with food and desserts.
After the blessing and enjoying the meal, the games began. Those playing the “Not So Newlywed Game” were Joe and Sherri Foster (married 10-20 years), Karo and LeAnn McCullars (married 20-40 years), and Phillip and Helen Scott (married over 50 years). Helen and Phillip won that one hands down. Next came “Pick Up My Heart” where men and women raced to see who could fill a plastic spoon with conversation hearts and carry it across the room and fill a solo cup. Then 20 of the group were given broken paper heart pieces and raced the clock to see who had the pieces to complete their hearts. Last but not least, the men voted most romantic and unromantic by the group sang serenades to their spouses. Serenaders included Truett Pirkle, Chris Kiser, Keith Willis, and Donny Holley.

The hostesses for the night, Ronnee Croft, Lizzie Montoya, and Camryn Downs, met the guests at the door and escorted them down the path marked with red hearts and pink rose petals to their table.
Pictures were taken at the beautiful balloon arch with hearts, greenery, and the queen chair as the couples were seated. Bobbie Holley welcomed the guests and gave a short devotion on Learning to Love Yourself and Don Downs, asked the blessing on the food.
