LaFAYETTE, Ala. — Miss Joyce Sorrels, 73, of LaFayette, Ala. died Thursday February 8, 2018 at her residence.  

Miss Sorrels was born in Georgia on June 12, 1944 to the late Millard Charles Sorrels and the late Peggy Frances Sorrels.

She was a member of the LaFayette Heights Baptist Church in LaFayette.  

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. CST on Saturday February 10, 2018 at the Lakeview Memory Gardens in Phenix City, Ala. with the Rev. Paul Howard officiating.  

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m. till noon, just prior to leaving for the graveside service.

Miss Parker is survived by two sisters, Sandy Henderson of LaFayette and Betty Deno of Spring, Texas; nieces Wendy Shoemaker of Valley, Ala., Tracy Gross of Lula, Ga., Wyann Mobley of Dothan, Ala., and Jennifer Bukey of South Carolina, and a nephew, Chip Allen of Spring, Texas.
