VALLEY, Ala. — Mr. Sanford Henry, 82, of Valley, AL went to meet his Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 8, 2018.  Going home services are planned for 4 p.m. EST Sunday at Calvary Worship Center in Valley with Revs. Gary and Laverne Cotney officiating.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:30 – 4 p.m. EST Sunday prior to the service at Calvary Family Worship Center.

Jimmy was born on March 6, 1935 in Glenn, Ga.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He retired from Ampex Corporation with 25 years of service.  He leaves a legacy of love for his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, and abundant love and faith in Jesus for his family and friends.  Those who loved and knew him will always remember him for his warm and caring spirit and his beautiful smile.  He was a member of the Calvary Worship Center for 35 years.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories  his wife of 61 years, Juvene Voss Henry; his children, Jenny (Billy) Rhea,; James (Dawn) Henry, Nina Jane (Ricky) White, Joan (Robert) Clifton; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a special puppy, Emma.  Jimmy was preceded in death by two sons, Paul and Brad Henry.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, or to ZERO-The End of Prostate Cancer, 515 King St., Suite 420, Alexandria, VA 22314.
