VALLEY — Seven people were arrested in Valley over the weekend. According to Valley Police Department reports,

Nathan Brett Foster, 26, of Valley has been charged with big jumping, second degree;

Ashley Ann Abney, 27, of Valley has been charged with failure to appear in court on a traffic-related matter;

Scottie Lee Davis, 45, of Valley has  been charged with bail jumping, second degree;

Brandon Workman, 35, of Valley has been charged with attempting to elude,

James Raymond Floyd, 37, of Lanett has been charged with theft of property, fourth degree;

Christopher Lee Davis, 24, of Wedowee has been charged with bail jumping, second degree, and

Calvin Winston has been charged with two counts of reckless endangerment, attempting to elude and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In incidents being investigated by Valley offices, theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 3500 block of 20th Avenue; theft of property, fourth, on the 3400 block of 20th Avenue, and domestic violence, third degree, reported on the 220 block of 40th Street.

Lanett reports

LANETT — Seven people were arrested in Lanett over the weekend. According to LPD reports,

Audrey Felecia Smith, 32, of Birmingham, Ala. has been charged with failure to appear in court;

Ashley Ann Abney, 27, of Lanett has been charged with three counts of FTA ;

Brittany Sharice Johnson, 28, of Lanett has been charged with resisting arrest, obstruction of a government operation and harassment;

April Celena Sherman, 39, of Lanett has been charged with attempting to elude a police officer;

Tracy Barker, 45, of Lanett has been charged with attempting to elude a police officer; possession of marijuana, first degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia;

Daquarious R. Johnson,k 18, of Lanett has been charged with two counts of FTA, and

Vera Mae Huguley, 28, of Lanett has been charged with driving under the influence.

In incidents that were reported over the weekend, Lanett officers are investigating an incident of attempted murder on South Jennings Avenue; domestic violence, third degree, on the 800 block of North 13th Street; theft property, fourth degree, on the 1200 block of North 12th Avenue, and the unauthorized use of a vehicle on the 300 block of South 14th Avenue.

West Point reports

WEST POINT — Four people were arrested in West Point over the weekend. According to reports,

Ramon Bonner of West Point has been charged with fraud; Christopher Lyndell Hicks of West Point has been charged with forgery, second degree; Keith Raynard Hargett of Atlanta, Ga. has been charged with giving a false name to a law enforcement officer and Tracy McKenzie of Wetumpka, Ala. has been charged with battery – family violence.

West Point officers are investigating reports of criminal trespass on Avenue E and simple battery on Grant Court.
