Lanett reports

LANETT — Four people were arrested in Lanett on Tuesday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

James William Smith. 51, of Lanett has been charged with three counts of failure to appear in court to answer traffic-related charges;

Anthony Marquess Maddox, 36, of Opelika has been charged with failure to pay;

Laura Kathleen Calalay Slay, 30, of Lanett has been charged with being a fugitive from justice;

Willie Ray Rogers, 44, of Valley has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

In incidents reported on Tuesday, Lanett police are investigating reports of trespassing on a bus and harassment on North 14th Court; theft of property, first degree, on the 1700 block of Magnolia Road, and duty upon striking an unoccupied vehicle on the 100 block of 44th Avenue SW.

Valley reports

VALLEY — In incidents reported to the Valley Police Department on Tuesday, officers are investigating reports of permitting dogs to run at large on the 1200 block of County Road 271, fraudulent use of a credit/debit card on the 100 block of Fob James Drive and theft of property, fourth degree, on the 3500 block of 20th Avenue.

West Point reports

WEST POINT — West Point police officers are investigating reports of terroristic threats, reported on West 9th Street; simple assault, reported on 3rd Avenue, and robbery on West 9th Street.
