LANETT — Two people were arrested in Lanett on Thursday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

Lewis Curtis Martin, 33, of Bowman, S.C. has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and

John Lyle Rearden, 49, of Valley has been charged with possession of a controlled substance.

In incidents reported to the police department on Thursday, LPD officers are investigating reports of criminal trespass, third degree, on the 5400 block of 33rd Street SW; criminal mischief, third, on the 5400 block of 33rd Street SW and criminal trespass, third degree, and harassment on the 1500 block of Cherry Drive.

VALLEY reports

VALLEY — Two people were arrested in Valley on Thursday. According to Valley Police Department reports,

Billy Joe Edwards, 47. of Florida has been charged with a probation violation and bail jumping, second degree, and

George Eddie Chambers Jr., 28, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.

Valley officers are investigating incidents of theft of property, first degree, on the 3000 block of 20th Avenue and a vehicle fire that took place on the 2900 block of 20th Avenue.

WEST POINT reports

WEST POINT — West Point police are investigating a shoplifting incident that took place Thursday on East 10th Street.
