LANETT — Business owner Alex Mo of Montgomery has opened his seventh Alex Wireless store in Lanett. It’s located on Highway 29 across from the Exxon station. Mo owns five other stores in Montgomery and one in Tuskegee.
He says that business has been pretty good thus far and that he’s prepared to help people with their wireless needs.
“We have phones and accessories for all the major carriers such as Verizon, AT&T and Sprint,” he said. “We have I pad covers, and we also do cell phone and computer repair.”
Mo hosted a grand opening at the new store on Feb. 2. He had a live band playing and free food for customers.
“We had people coming and going that day and today,” he said. “We appreciate what the Chamber has done for us in introducing us to the local area.”
“Alex lives in Montgomery and commutes here,” GVACC Executive Director told the crowd assembled for the ribbon cutting. “I am glad he chose to locate in Lanett.”
Mayor Kyle McCoy told Mo that he hoped that he’d find Lanett to be a friendly place and that he’d have a profitable business here.
“It’s wonderful to see another new business opening here,” he said.
