LaFAYETTE, Ala. — Mrs. Marie Ozley Hurst 75 of LaFayette, Ala. died Friday March 2, 2018 at the East Alabama Medical Center. Mrs. Hurst was born in Chambers County June 12, 1942 to the late Robert Lee Ozley and the late Lessie Bishop Ozley. She was a member of the LaFayette Heights Baptist Church and had worked at Playtex from 1965 until 1979 and later worked for Russell Corp. from 1980 until 2001.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday March 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. CST at the LaFayette Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the LaFayette City Cemetery. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Monday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. CST.

She is survived by four children, Tony (Dana) Hurst of Cusseta, Ala., Angie (Randy) Osborne of LaFayette, Lisa (Keith) Bassett of the Ridge Grove community, and Val Hurst of LaFayette; four sisters, Faye Rutland of West Point, Ga., Peggy Ann White of Lanett, Ala., Modine Price of Camp Hill, Ala., and Elaine Davis of Valley, Ala.; eight grandchildren, Magan (Phil) King of Cusseta, Ala., Justin (Heather) Hurst of Dallas, Ga., Robbie (Lauren) Osborne of the Penton community, Timmy Osborne of Roanoke, Ala., Dennis Osborne of LaFayette, Noah (Erin) Hurst of Valley, Ryan Hurst of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Brad Hurst of Birmingham, Ala.; ten great grandchildren, Kendal King, Mia Hurst, Ian Hurst, Kirsten Osborne, Emmanuel Osborne, LouElla Osborne, Eli Osborne, Whitley Osborne, Layken Hurst and Sadie Hurst. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward Hurst, son Charles Hurst and sisters Debra Smith and Betty Jo Folds.
