Lanett reports
LANETT — Two people were arrested in Lanett on Wednesday. According to Lanett Police Department reports.
Stephanie Cherfaye Allen, 39, of Roanoke, Ala. has been charged with FTA – failure to display insurance and failure to pay for resisting arrest, and
Mercedes Maria Garcia, 27, of Valley has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree.
In incidents being investigated by Lanett officers, the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported on the 2900 block of Cusseta Road and theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 2800 block of South Phillips Road.

VALLEY — Three people were arrested in Valley on Wednesday. According to Valley Police Department reports,
Walter Hawkins, 70, of Valley has been charged with domestic violence, third degree;
Ami Trammell, 37, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree, and
Anson Michael Tompkins, 30, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.
In incidents being investigated by Valley officers, theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 2900 block of 20th Avenue; the fraudulent use of a credit/debit card was reported on the 200 block of Peterson Street; theft of property, third degree, was reported on the 5100 block of 20th Avenue; theft of property, fourth degree, and robbery, third degree, reported on the 3400 block of 20th Avenue; domestic violence, third degree (physical harassment) and domestic violence, third degree (criminal mischief) was reported on the 1000 block of Lantuck Road, and harassment was reported on the 3500 block of 20th Avenue.

LaFAYETTE — Five people were arrested in Chambers County on Wednesday. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,
Amontre’l Todd, 19, of Camp Hill, Ala. has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer charges of possession of marjuana, second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia;
Darnell Patton, 24, of Five Points, Ala. has been charged with carrying a pistol without a permit;
Anson Tompkins, 30, of Valley has been charged with FTA – promoting prison contraband;
Koree Summers, 27, of Lanett has been charged with possession of marijuana, first degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and
John Pike, 43, of Valley has been charged with three counts of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and probation violation.
There were 164 inmates in the Chambers County jail Thursday morning.
