On Saturday, a total of 35 bikes rode in this year’s Hike/Bike/Run motorcycle ride.

It got started at 10:30 a.m. when the motorcycles pulled out onto Highway 29 next to Greene’s Super Drug in Lanett and headed south though Valley and into Lee County, then across I-85 into Opelika and then up US 431 to LaFayette, where a big crowd had turned out for LaFayette Day.

Over $14,000 was raised art this year’s LaFayette Day. This gives a pretty good amount toward the annual fundraising goal of $100,000 for Valley Haven School.
