Mrs. Betty Jo Ogletree

VALLEY — Betty “Jo” Ingram Ogletree was born on July 17, 1948 in Valley, Ala. to the late Ishman and Florence Ingram. She departed her life on April 23, 2018 at her residence in Lithonia, Ga.
Jo attended Lanier High School, Class of 1966, where she was a cheerleader. At a young age she became a member of Sardis Baptist Church. She was a current member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she served as a deacoess until her health began to decline.
Jo was a faithful employee of WestPoint Pepperell for 36 years until retirement.
Jo was a fun-loving person who could lift the spirits of everyone she came in contact with. Spending time with family and friends was one of her life’s greatest highlights.
Jo was preceded in death by brothers, Leroy Ingram, Will Ingram and Anthony Ingram.
A legacy of love is entrusted to the following survivors: her husband, Johnnie Ogletree of Lanett; a special daughter, Tammy (Patrick) Floyd of Mableton, Ga.; a loving and devoted son, Maurice (Tammy) Ingram of Lithonia, Ga.; two stepsons, Zachary (Michelle) Ogletree of Fairburn, Ga. and Jermaine Ogletree of Lanett; a special son that she reared as her own, Sandor “Noody” Harris; three loving sisters, Susie Askew of Cleveland, Ohio, Gertha (Arthur) Rudd and Mary Dell Ingram, both of Lanett; one caring brother, Wheeler Ingram and her step-mother, Hattie Ingram, both of Lanett; two special grandsons, Marquarius and Jabias Walker of Mableton, Ga.; one special granddaughter, Kamryn Ingram of Lithonia, Ga.; two great-grandchildren, Kobe and Marlee Walker of Smyrna, Ga.; three very special friends, Lee (Mellow) Williams, Betty Barnes and Minnie Gates; and an array of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jo’s love, laughter and memories will forever live in our hearts.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m. EDT at Foreman Funeral Home, 7248 King Road, Valley, Ala.
