Valley reports

VALLEY — Five people were arrested in Valley on Monday. According to Valley Police Department reports,

Matthew Allen Hansen, 37, of Valley has been charged with theft of property, fourth degree;

Freddie Barnes, 58, of Valley has been charged with theft of property, fourth degree;

Michael D. Preston, 37, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with bail jumping, second degree, assault, second degree, resisting arrest and attempting to elude;

Shyravea D. Williams, 24, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree, and

Ronald Allen Jones, 27, of Valley has been charged with criminal trespassing, third degree.

In incidents being investigated by Valley Police Department officers, theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 3500 block of 20th Avenue, and theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 2900 block of 20th Avenue.

LANETT — One person was arrested in Lanett on Monday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

Shyravea Lateece Williams, 24, of Auburn, Ala. was charged with failure to appear in court on a traffic charge.

In incidents being investigated by Lanett police, theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 1300 block of South 8th Avenue and burglary, third degree, and theft of property, second degree, were reported on the 1800 block of 35th Avenue SW.

LaFAYETTE — One person was arrested in Chambers County on Monday. According to CCSO reports,

William Scott Slaughter, 37, of Roanoke, Ala. has been charged with FTA – possession of drug paraphernalia.

WEST point reports

WEST POINT — West Point police officers are investigating an incident of simple battery that was reported Monday on East 11th Street.
