VALLEY — The Reverend Marlan Sagar, 78, died at his residence on Saturday, May 19, 2018. He was born in Leesburg, Ohio on August 29, 1939 to Kenneth and Edyth Sagar.

Rev. Sagar leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 54 years, Marion Chase Sagar; his daughter Marla Smith (Heath), son Joel Teague (Dee) and daughter Tammy Hansen (Ted); a sister, Barbara Righetti (Phillip); a brother, Robert Sagar and a special brother-in-law, Louie Chase (Chris).

Rev. Sagar was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Edyth Sagar, and a son, Charles Duncan. He leaves behind nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Rev. Sagar was the minister of music at several churches in Arizona, Colorado and Louisiana. He most recently served at Grace Baptist Church in Valley and at Cornerstone Baptist, where his heart truly was.

There will be a celebration of life service for Rev. Sagar at 1 p.m. EDT, Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Valley, with the Rev. Doug Blackmon presiding.
