The Savior’s Hand Gospel Hour Bible Study and Prayer Group meet on Monday each week at 10 AM in the activities building of Sylvia Word Manor.
Susie Fincher, W.L. Gillenwaters, Leonard Thrower and Robert Moore are faithful to give of their time and talents to make this a time of fellowship, worship and listening to God’s word as they lead in singing, prayer and spreading joy to others.
They begin these meeting with prayer and repeating their Bible verse and then sing its chorus. Prayer requests are taken and lifted to God for intersession.
A guest speaker is always on hand to bring a brief message from the Bible. Recent speakers have been Bonnie Campbell on May 21st, Rev. Floyd Aikens on June 4th and Rev. John Samanie on June 11th.
W. L. and Leonard led in singing familiar hymns including “Are You Washed in the Blood?”, “At Calvary”, “The Solid Rock” and “Jesus Loves Me”. Bonnie Campbell sang a special on May 21st titled “Open My Eyes”. W. L sang “I’m Not Perfect, Just Forgiven”. On June 4th, Leonard sang “House of Gold” and “God on the Mountain” after which W. L. sang “Beulah Land”.
Rev. Aikens brought the message on June 4 from Ephesians, Chapter 2, and talked about what blessings God has given us. Bonnie Campbell used scripture from John 9 in her message on May 21 which tells the story of Jesus healing a man born blind.
