LANETT — Mrs. Twila J. Bowen, 75, of Lanett Ala. and a former resident of LaGrange, Ga., passed away Monday evening, June 11, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Bowen was born Twila Jane Lawrence on November 30, 1942 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Ernest and Grace E. Curry Lawrence. She and her late husband, Clint Bowen, owned and operated Clint’s Body Shop. She was a former employee of United Business Forms.

Mrs. Bowen was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Clinton Bowen Sr. and a son, Kermit Clinton Bowen Jr. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law Shyka M. (Lanny) Browning of West Point, Ga.; sons and daughter-in-law Thavin (Lisa) Emerson, LaGrange, and Mark Trammell; eight grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law Connie (Mike) Scaggs of North Carolina and Cynthia (Terry) Starkey, Tiffin, Ohio, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bowen were scheduled for noon on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with the Rev. Steve Comer officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until noon. Interment followed in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
