LaFAYETTE — One person was arrested in Chambers County on Wednesday. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

Matthew Lewis Henry, 44, of Bessemer, Ala. has been charged with theft of property, first degree, and failure to appear in court to answer charges of theft of property, first degree.

There were 169 inmates in the Chambers County jail Thursday morning.

West Point reports

WEST POINT — West Point police officers are investigating reports of damage to a vehicle on O.G. Skinner Drive and entering an automobile on East 12th Street. These incidents were reported on Wednesday.
