Mr. Robert “Bob” Crowell

AUBURN, Ala. — Mr. Robert (Bob) Arnold Crowell 64, of Auburn, Ala. passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the East Alabama Medical Center from complications of heart disease. He died peacefully surrounded by his children.
Bob was born in Montgomery, Ala. on October 7, 1953 to the late George Arnold Crowell and the late Shirley Crowell Woods. He was a graduate of Columbus High School in Columbus, Ga. and attended Auburn University. He was a former franchise owner of several national restaurant chains. He was an avid outdoorsman, a gun enthusiast and an expert marksman. His other passion was golf and being on the golf course. He loved his children, grandchildren, family and Auburn football.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. CDT at the Auburn University Golf Club. He is survived by his four children: daughter Lauren Crowell Bollinger (Jeremy) of Newnan, Ga., daughter Ellen Crowell Sheffield (Philip) of Jacksonville, Fla., sons George Robert (Bobby) Crowell and Phillip (Chase) Crowell, both of Auburn, his brother, Frank Matthew Crowell of Auburn and his two sisters, Linda Crowell Zeitouni of Columbus, Ga. and Lisa Crowell Mitchell (Stuart) of Satellite Beach, Fla., his five grandchildren and his beloved dog, Colt. The family also extends grateful thanks to his cousin, Mitchell Dwaine O’Barr (Connie) of Mount Pleasant, S.C.
