HUGULEY — Mrs. Yvonne Strickland, 75, of the Huguley community passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Bethany House in Auburn.  She was born on July 13, 1943 in West Point.

Mrs. Strickland is survived by her husband of 58 years, J.L. Strickland; her son, Nathan (Allison) Strickland; her three grandchildren, Nickolette  (Robert) Scott, Jordan Strickland, and Josh Strickland; several great-grandchildren; and her brother, Clarence Booker.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Kerry Strickland and Jason Strickland; her brother, William Booker; her sister, Marie Morgan; and her mother, Annie Lou Brewer.

Mrs. Strickland attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Valley.  She loved her family and animals.  She enjoyed cooking for everyone.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley.  The Rev. Raymond Sorrells officiated the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bethany House in memory of Mrs. Strickland.
