Valley reports

VALLEY — Two people were arrested in Valley on Tuesday. According to Valley Police Department reports,

› James Scott Holloway, 42, of Valley has been charged with giving a false name to law enforcement, and

› John Cody Laney, 28, of Valley has been charged with obstructing a government operation and resisting arrest.

In incidents that were reported on Tuesday, Valley officers are investigating theft of property, fourth degree, that took place on the 100 block of Beech Street, theft of property, fourth degree, on the 2500 block of 57th Street, and duty upon striking a vehicle on the 1800 block of 44th Street.

West Point reports

WEST POINT — West Point police officers are investigating an incident of disorderly conduct that took place Tuesday on East 8th Street and an incident of disorderly conduct and affray, or fighting, on East 10th Street.

Sheriff’s Office reports

LaFAYETTE — There were 164 inmates in the Chambers County jail on Wednesday morning.
