OPELIKA, Ala. — Mr. Willie Lee Oliver, Sr., 68, of Opelika, Ala. passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, 1 p.m. CDT at Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church in Waverly, Ala. with the Rev. Ed Vines officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Oliver is survived by five daughters: Keisha Oliver and Tiffany Oliver, both of Opelika, April Oliver (Jason Holifield), Stephanie Oliver and Vanessa (M.D. Rabbivi) Chowdhury, all of Auburn, Ala.; five sons: Kevin Oliver and James Oliver, both of Opelika, Mario Oliver (Ebony Threatt), Willie Lee Oliver, Jr. (Lashaina Walton) and Derrick Oliver (Sharonda Pitts), all of Auburn; two brothers, Robert L. Oliver of Foley, Ala. and Wilson Hutchison of Tallassee, Ala.; nine sisters: Doris Oliver, Waverly, Mary Singletary, Albany,  N.Y., Brenda Evans, Kay Oliver and Stacey (Gregory) Welch, all of Opelika, Dorothy (James) Core of Valley,  Mary Ricks of Detroit, Mich., Annie Daniel of Tallassee, Ala. and Wanda Hutchison of Notasulga, Ala.; twenty-five grandchildren, one special granddaughter, Kaylin Oliver, one uncle, Edward (Carolyn) Johns of Camp Hill, Ala., one aunt, Charlene Johnson of Waverly, Ala., a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
