Lanett reports

LANETT — Five people were arrested in Lanett over the weekend. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

› Kelvin Bernard Howell. 33, of Lanett has been charged with domestic violence, third degree;

› Robert Tracy  Sorrels, 56, of Lanett has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer traffic-related charges;

› Jason Lamar Antley, 23, of Lanett has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia;

› Lamont Jamel Jones, 40, of Valley has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and

› Cosammie Domango Lewis Dawson, 44, of Lanett has been charged with public intoxication.

In incidents that were reported over the weekend, Lanett police are investigating reports of domestic violence, third degree, and criminal trespassing, first degree, in the 1100 block of East 3rd Avenue, theft by deception, fourth degree, on the 1300 block of South Gilmer Avenue, harassment on the 600 block of South 3rd Avenue, theft of property, fourth degree, on the 100 block of North 12th Avenue, criminal mischief, third degree, on the 1900 block of 23rd Street SW, duty upon striking an unoccupied vehicle on the 1400 block of South Gilmer Avenue, harassment on the 1800 block of 16th Avenue SW, burglary, third degree, and theft of property, third degree, on the 100 block of East 14th Street, harassment on the 600 block of South 2nd Avenue and domestic violence, third degree, on the 100 block of South 2nd Avenue.

Valley reports

VALLEY — Two people were arrested in Valley over the weekend. According to Valley Police Department reports,

› Tyrus Scott, 49, of Lanett has been charged with theft of property, fourth degree, and

› Angelia Machelle McDonald Dunn, 43, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.

Valley officers are investigating reports of property damage on the 6400 block of Highway 29, criminal mischief, third degree, on the 2800 block of 48th Street and domestic violence, third degree, on the 200 block of Stanfield Road.

West Point reports

WEST POINT — Four people were arrested in West Point over the weekend. According to West Point Police Department reports,

› Cody Alan Potts and Toby Joe Payne, both of LaGrange, have each been charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance;

› Niasya Sheontae Murphy of West Point has been charged with robbery, and

› Darquayrius Manquez Huguley of West Point has been charged with a felony warrant from Lanett.

In incidents that are being investigated by West Point officers, the theft of a motorcycle was reported on East 14th Street, theft by receiving stolen property was reported on Highway 18, simple battery was reported on Spruce Street, criminal trespassing was reported on O.G. Skinner Drive and theft by taking was reported on Lee Court.

LaFayette reports

LaFAYETTE — Two people were arrested in LaFayette over the weekend. According to LaFayette Police Department reports,

› Peggy Phillips. 28, has been charged with two counts of menacing, and

› Kathryn Aguilar, 34, has been charged with possession of a forged instrument, third degree.

In an incident that has been reported to LaFayette officers, property damage has been reported on Avenue A SE,

Sheriff’s  reports

LaFAYETTE — One person was arrested in Chambers County over the weekend. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

› Wanda Rabren, 58, of Salem, Ala. has been charged on a grand jury indictment for theft of property, first degree.

A total of 169 inmates were in the Chambers County jail Monday morning.
