Sheriff’s office reports

LaFAYETTE — Two people were arrested in Chambers County on Thursday. According to the Chambers County Sheriff’’s Office,

› William Carmichael, 30, of Lanett has been charged with menacing, and

› Harold Folds, 32, of West Point, Ga. has been charged with being a fugitive from justice.

There were 149 inmates in the Chambers County jail Thursday morning.

Valley reports

VALLEY — Two people were arrested in Valley on Thursday. According to Valley Police Department reports,

› Howard Russell Grey, 58, of LaGrange, Ga. has been charged with the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and

› Andor Demarcus Gross, 45, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.

West point reports

WEST POINT — Two people were arrested in West Point on Thursday. According to West Point Police Department reports,

› Javartis Simmons of LaGrange has been charged with a probation violation, and

› Monsenior Farley of  Phenix City, Ala. has been charged on a warrant from Columbus, Ga. for assault.

Lanett reports

LANETT — One person was arrested in Lanett on Thursday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

› Derrick Burton, 40, of LaFayette has been charged with harassing communications.

In an incident that is being investigated by Lanett officers, domestic violence, third degree, was reported on the 1900 block of 23rd Street SW.
