Bringing back an old favorite

The Valley Times-News recently released a survey to our readers asking what no-longer running features they would like to see brought back. Hands down the most requested item was the TV guide.

The newspaper stopped producing a TV guide prior to October of last year, ever since that time this has remained the most requested feature to bring back.

Unfortunately, a lack of advertising has prevented us from doing just that, until now.

When our readers get their papers on Tuesday, Sept. 25, turn to the records page. On the bottom right corner will be the new TV guide, running every day moving forward. A hearty ‘thank you’ to Auburn Bank is in order as well, for agreeing to sponsor the guide each day.

We always strive to provide the best newspaper to our readers. In the past year, we have done much to improve the paper and this is just another in a long list of fixes.

With over 100 years of history behind it, The Valley Times-News has gone through many designs.

It’s an unfortunate thing to disappoint subscribers. Hopefully, the return of the TV guide will delight our current readers and maybe even bring a few back.

The TV guide is back and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
