LaFAYETTE — Five people were arrested in Chambers County on Thursday. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,
Carolyn Fears, 49, of Waverly, Ala. has been charged with failure to pay on a NWNI (bad check) charge;
Lawrence Rebardi, 54, of Wadley, Ala. has been charged with criminal trespassing, first degree, and criminal mischief, third degree;
Dorothy Sledge, 62, of Valley has been charged on a grand jury indictment for attempted extortion;
Thomas Lett, 32, of Pensacola, Fla. has been charged with failure to appear in court on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. and
Amber Baisden, 30, of Valley has been charged with hindering prosecution, second degree.

VALLEY — Three people were arrested in Valley on Thursday. According to Valley Police Department reports,
Candace Brock, 30, of Lanett has been charged with domestic violence, third degree;
Herman Cochran, 60, of Valley has been charged with domestic violence, third degree, and
Drake Garrett Thompson, 25, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, first degree.

LANETT — One person was arrested in Lanett on Thursday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,
Crystal Leigh Cox, 35, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.
In incidents being investigated by Lanett officers, harassment and criminal mischief, third degree, were reported in the 100 block of South 22nd Street, criminal trespassing, third degree, was reported on the 1400 block of South 7th Street, two incidents of theft of property, fourth degree, were reported on the 1400 block of South Gilmer Avenue, and theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 1000 block of 30th Avenue SW.

WEST POINT — One person was arrested in West Point on Thursday. According to West Point Police Department reports,
Jameeya Jackson of Lanett has been charged with to have a driver’s license on them, improper backing and no insurance.
In an incident being investigated by West Point officers, criminal trespassing was reported on Stocks Circle.
