Mrs. Amanda Ellis Vinson

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — Mrs. Amanda Ellis Vinson, 69, of Orange Beach, Ala. passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, Ala.  She was born on May 24th, 1949 in Birmingham, Ala. o the late Jean Bryant Ellis and Edwin Harding Ellis.

Mrs. Vinson is survived by her husband, Robert L. Vinson; her four children, Christopher (Stacey) Vinson of Sylacauga, Ala., Renea (Joe) Ray of Alexander City, Ala., Mandy L. (Brad May) Vinson of Tampa, Fla., and Valerie Vinson (Randy) Darby of Robertsdale, Ala.; ten grandchildren; one great granddaughter who is on the way; her two brothers, Edwin H. (Patsy) Ellis, III of Raleigh, N.C. and Paul Ellis of Jacksonville, Fla.

Mrs. Vinson was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and watching youth sports with family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 3 p.m. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley, Ala.  Pastor Nathan Lawrence will officiate.  Interment will follow in Langdale Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1 p.m. EDT until the service hour at the funeral home.
