ROANOKE, Ala. — Mrs. Esther L. Morgan, 87. of Roanoke, Ala. passed away on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Ala.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, 12 noon CDT at the First Baptist Church in Roanoke, Ala. with Pastor Gilbert Staples, Eulogist and Rev. Calvin Trammell, officiating. Burial will follow in New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, County Road 158, LaFayette, AL.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by five sons: Oscar Shears of Atlanta, Ga., Thomas Shears (Davina) of Austin, Texas, Orlando Shears of Roanoke, Ala., Leroy Morgan, LaGrange, Ga. and Jerry Morgan of Greenville, Ga., three daughters: Lula Mae Culberson (John) of Lithonia, Ga., Sandra Bell (Mack) and Belinda Morgan, both of Roanoke, Ala., one brother, Raymond Shears of Troy, Ala., two sisters: Mildred Patillo (Wesley) and Leola Allen, both of Roanoke, Ala., six sisters-in-law, Harriet Shears, Mary D. Baker, Sharon Phillips, Linda Paige Morgan and Dollie Ruth Morgan, all of Roanoke, Ala. and Emma Morgan of Chicago, Ill., two brothers-in-law, Johnny Frank Morgan and Bobby Mack Morgan, both of Roanoke, Ala., a very special friend, Annie Sue Smith of Roanoke, Ala., twenty-four grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
