Valley reports

VALLEY — Two people were arrested in Valley on Monday. According to Valley Police Department reports,

Jatavious Sanders, 23, of Lanett has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer traffic-related charges, and

George Alexander, 54, of Lanett has been charged with public intoxication.

In incidents being investigated by Valley officers, the unlawful breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and theft of property, fourth degree, was reported in the Lamb subdivision, burglary, third degree, and theft of property, third degree, were reported on the 1100 block of County Road 500, and the fraudulent use of a credit/debit card was reported on the 3500 block of 20th Avenue.

Lanett reports

LANETT — One person was arrested in Lanett on Monday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

Jeremy Jaquez Swain, 22, of Dothan, Ala. has been charged with being a fugitive from justice.

In incidents being investigated by Lanett officers, burglary, third degree, and theft of property, first degree, were reported on the 1100 block of North 10th Street, criminal mischief, third degree, was reported on the 1300 block of 44th Avenue SW, and incidents of harassment were reported on the 3500 block of 45th Street SW and the 3000 block of South Phillips Road.

Sheriff’s Office reports

LaFAYETTE — One person was arrested in Chambers County on Monday. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

Samuel Lewis Brown, 38, of LaFayette has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer charges of driving with an expired license and failure to wear a seatbelt.

A total of 155 inmates were in the Chambers County jail Tuesday morning.

west point reports

WEST POINT — One person was arrested in West Point on Monday. According to West Point Police Department reports,

Kevin Carrell of Newton, Ala. was picked up on an Alabama warrant.

In an incident being investigated by West Point officers, theft by taking was reported on West 5th Avenue.
