LaFAYETTE — Mr. Benton Towles, 77, of LaFayette, Ala. passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services were scheduled for 1 p.m. CST on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in LaFayette with Rev. Michael Stiggers Sr., pastor, officiating. Burial followed in Handy Memorial Cemetery in LaFayette.

Mr. Towles is survived by  four children: Craig Towles, Vickie (George) Rampey, Kerry Towles and Randy Williams, all of LaFayette; three sisters, Alma Brooks of Lanett, Ala., Dorothy Taylor of Richmond, Va., and Ruby Towles-Daw of Lanett, Ala., two brothers, Wilford (Linda) Towles of Valley, Ala. and Wilburn Towles of Lanett; thirteen grandchildren, four  great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mary Brooks and Callie Story, both of LaFayette; two special friends, Annie Hardnett and Ennis Hardnett, both of  LaFayette, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
