VALLEY — Ms. Sherri Hamilton Price, 74, of Valley, Ala. passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018 at her residence.  She was born on Aug. 23, 1944 in Langdale, Ala.

Ms. Price is survived by her brother, Mitchell (Nancy) Hamilton; her niece, Hannah Hamilton; her two aunts, Shirley Sprayberry and Nell Mitchell; her five cousins, Mike Timmons, Steve Timmons, Vic Sprayberry, Marcella Smith, and Jerry Mitchell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Lee Hamilton, and her brother, Mike Hamilton.

Ms. Price was a member of Happy Valley Baptist Church. She spent years in the Valley area working as a hair stylist and later as a nurse’s aide at Lanier Memorial Hospital.  She retired from Kroger, where she loved working with her Kroger family and developed many special friendships with her customers.  She was a very big University of Alabama fan.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018 at 4 p.m. EST at the Happy Valley Baptist Church in Lanett. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 3 p.m. EST until the service hour at the church.
