Thanksgiving shooting at club in Lanett injures two

LANETT – A shooting Thanksgiving night in Lanett left two people injured and taken to a local hospital, according to the Lanett Police Department.
At about 2:47 a.m. Thursday night, officers with the police department were dispatched to Club 110, which is located at 1606 19th Street SW, about a fight in progress.
According to a press release, when officers arrived, they were met with several vehicles and many people fleeing from the area.
While surveying the scene, officers found two individuals who were injured from gunshot wounds.
The individuals injured were Tiera Henry, 25, of Lanett and Quardarius Johnson, 29, of Opelika.
According to a press release, Johnson had a gunshot wound to the head and was transported by Lanett Emergency Management Services to a local hospital and then later taken to the Columbus Regional Hospital for treatment.
Patrol Commander Richard Casner said both victims were treated and release from the hospital.
He said the incident is still under investigation by the Lanett Police Department Criminal Investigation Division as to what caused the incited the incident. He also said nobody has been taken into custody as of Monday afternoon.
When an arrest is made, Casner said the charges will most likely be first-degree assault.
