J. Smith Lanier gives back to local nonprofits

WEST POINT — It’s a Christmas tradition for the employees of J. Smith Lanier Insurance Agency to vote for the recipients of the company’s donations to local charities. The worthy causes benefitting this year are Chattahoochee Humane Society, the Christian Service Center, the Chambers County Circle of Care Center for Families and Sav-A-Life. Each of these organizations are well-known for the good work they do in Chambers County and the surrounding area.
The checks were distributed Wednesday afternoon at the J. Smith Lanier office in downtown West Point.
J. Smith Lanier & Company has 22 offices in five southeastern states. The company is the southeastern hub of the A. Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC, which is headquartered in New York state. A. Marsh & McLennan contributes over $50,000 each year to a variety of charitable causes.
