Area scores from Tuesday night

The Rams fell to Brewbaker Tech 59-33 on Tuesday night. Ana Magby led Valley with 16 points. The loss drops Valley’s area record to 2-2.

The Panthers defeated Wadley 67-19 on Tuesday night. Breanna Glaze led Lanett with 14 points with Makaiya Broughton also finishing in double digits. The win gives the Panthers a 3-1 area record. 


The Wildcats won this past Saturday against LaGrange Academy 42-34. Springwood returned to the court on Tuesday night, and lost against Glenwood 40-19.


The Bobcats won their second consecutive game with a 45-23 win over Randolph County on Tuesday night. Beulah is now 2-2 in the area.


The Lanett boys basketball team defeated Wadley 76-44 on Tuesday night. Junior guard Quae Houston led the way by hitting seven three-pointers in the first three quarters to finish with 26 points. Senior Jayshon Burton also finished in double digits for the Panthers. The team is now 4-0 in area play.


The Wildcats fell to Glenwood on Tuesday night. Coleman Hull led the team with 10 points while Tyler Ly added 6 points. The JV boys defeated Glenwood 24-22 with Eli Westbrook scoring 6 points, and Lewis King adding 5 points.


The Rams defeated Brewbaker Tech 60-57 on Tuesday night. The win now gives Valley a 2-1 area record. For the second straight game, freshman Markavious Atkinson led the team in scoring with 13 points, 5 rebounds and a block. Senior T.J. Winston also had 13 points to go along with 4 blocks. Sophomore Kintavious Dozier also finished in double digits with 11 points and 5 assists.
