The Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors announced Monday that Ashley Crane will no longer be serving as the chamber’s Executive Director.

President Bill Gladden announced the news through a press release on Monday.

In a phone call Tuesday morning, Gladden did not say why Crane is no longer the executive director, calling it a “personnel matter.”

“We are just leaving it at that,” Gladden said.

Crane released a statement on Monday night, thanking the chamber for the opportunity.

“In response to the press release given by the Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, I would like to thank the Chamber Board for the support and opportunities given to help grow this organization,” Crane said. “It has been my honor and pleasure to serve the Greater Valley Area, and I wish the utmost success for this organization and the community.”

Gladden said Crane served as the chamber president for about two years.

“She created a lot of really good programs for the chamber and grew the membership,” Gladden said. “She’s done a good job for the chamber and has left us in a good position.

Gladden said a search team has been organized to find the new director, but no timeline has been determined for when someone will be in place.

Gladden said scheduled events will go on as planned.

“The chamber is alive and well, and we are going to continue to serve our clients and do everything we can to support the Valley area,” Gladden said.
