The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an escaped inmate.

Thomas Jack Hart, 29, walked away from an inmate work detail near Chambers County Lake on Friday, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office. Hart was being held on felony theft charges.

Hart, 29, is described as a 5-foot-9 white male that weighs approximately 140 pounds. He is originally from the Lanett. Anyone having information on the location of this individual is asked to call the Chambers County 911 Center at (334) 576-0916 or the sheriff’s office at (334)864-4342.
