WEST POINT — Mary Gilliam Rogers, 94, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019. She was born Jan. 6, 1925 in Troup County, Georgia to the late Willie Washington and Catherine Davidson, the third of 12 children.

She retired from West Point Pepperell and was a faithful member of New Harmony CME Church.

She is survived by five children, Mae Wilder, Larry (Jackie) Gilliam, Constance Gilliam, Kim Gilliam, and Billy Gilliam; one sister, Mattie Stephens; her daughter-in-law, Mary Gilliam; special daughter, Katherine Sheppard; a special son, William (Josie) Rogers Jr.; her “flowers” – 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

The Service will be Monday at 11 a.m. EST at New Harmony CME Church. The family will be at their home at 1700 Park Place, Apartment 105.

The excellent care of Mrs. Rogers is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home, LaGrange, Georgia.
