LaFAYETTE — Mrs. Mattie Will Dixon, 97, of LaFayette passed away on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. CST on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 at New Mt. Sellers Baptist Church in LaFayette with the Rev. Terry L. Magby, pastor, Rev. Gary L. Dixon, eulogist, and Rev. Melvin Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Handy Memorial Cemetery in LaFayette.

Mrs. Dixon is survived by her children, Robert Dixon, Barbara Dixon and Carolyn (Marshall) Gunn, all of LaFayette; Charlie (Edna) Dixon of Toledo, Ohio, Rev. Gary (Carolyn) Dixon of Ellenwood, Georgia and Darryl Dixon of Powder Springs, Georgia; 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
