ATLANTA — Mrs. Vera V. Drake, 73, of Atlanta, Ga, and formerly of Roanoke, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, at the Pruitt Nursing Home in Atlanta.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, noon CST at Deliverance Temple Church in Roanoke with the Rev. Michael Goss, pastor, Rev. J. Barnes, eulogist, and Rev. Calvin Trammell officiating. Burial will follow in Sky View Memorial Gardens in Five Points.

Mrs. Drake is survived by a son, Steven Winston (Shelly Forte) of Atlanta;  two sisters, Mrs. Mary Sue Collins of Roanoke and Mrs. Mattie (Eddie) Wilson of East Point, Ga.; four brothers, James (Lonnie Mae) Tucker, Eddie (Lelea May) Tucker, Jimmy Larry Tucker and Oliver Tucker, all of Chattanooga, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends..
