VALLEY — Ms. Jena Hill, 58, of Valley passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at the Bethany House in Auburn, Ala.

Ms. Hill was born on Jan. 30, 1961 in Langdale, Ala. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Valley.  She loved her church and her church family. She was the manager of the Fred’s Store in Lanett and loved her work family.

Jena was a very artistic and creative person who loved to draw.

She is survived by her children, Gina Marie Brooks, Amanda Johns, Ashley (Chris) Brown, Jessica Kennerson, and Arron Kennerson; her mother, Lucy Ellen Busby; sisters Wendy (Charles) Davis, and Joyce (Martin) Ford; brothers James (Julie) Abston, and Larry (Cheryl) Abston; grandchildren Halie Brooks, Eric Johns, Jordyn Brown and a great great-granddaughter, Maddy Brooks.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at 2 p.m. EST at the Emmanuel Baptist Church with interment following in Resthaven Cemetery.  Dr. Darren White will officiate. The family will be receiving friends at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley on Thursday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. EST.

Flowers will be accepted or the family suggests that memorials be made in Jena’s name to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
