Six arrested after drug raid in Valley

Six people were arrested in Valley on Thursday, Feb. 7 on multiple drug charges by the Region D Drug Task Force and Chambers County SWAT teams, according to the Valley Police Department.
Law enforcement executed a search warrant at 205 Combs Street in Valley and seized a Mossberg 817 Rifle, a Bryco .380 Pistol, methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription medication and drug paraphernalia.
Arrested in the raid were Melissa Morgan Huddleston, 42, of Valley; Hezekiah Randal Terran Morgan, 18, of Valley; Larry Love, 27, of Valley; Ricky Lewis Banks, age 37, of Valley; Daniel Alan Noon, 30, of LaFayette; and Lorena Lavon Nicole McWhorter, 31, of Cusseta.
Each person arrested was charged with unlawful possession of controlled substance (meth), unlawful possession of marijuana 2, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of prescription drugs.
“It’s good to get these drugs out of the area, just because of the safety concern. We have reports every year of people overdosing and dying because of drugs. A lot of our criminal activity is also tied to the drug trade,” said Major Mike Reynolds with the Valley Police Department.
Huddleston ($7,5000 bond), Morgan ($5,000 bond), Love ($10,000 bond), Banks (no bond) and Noon ($12,500 bond) were all listed on the Chambers County Jail website on Thursday morning.
